Wellness Garden

I started a Wellness Garden at work to help staff realize that growing vegetables can be a healthier and less expensive way to eat. The produce was grown and wellness activities shared with staff... Green Fried Tomatoes, how to make your own pesto, "Stone Salad" where everyone brings in a salad topping, how to make infused oils using herbs grown in the garden. The garden produced weekly fresh vegetables that served over 100 individuals monthly through the food pantry we operate. Next year, I am starting a Mini Victory program that will provide a small garden for pantry participants to grow their own foods in their own space. Land or container.
