Organic Pest Control – Don’t Poison Your FamilyOrganic pest control practices can save the harvest while sparing your family, and mine, from the harmful poisons that are so common in agriculture. Natural pest control starts with gardening in a way that discourages the bad bugs from taking up residence in your garden, encouraging or importing beneficial insects to live there and - only as a last resort - using natural insecticides that won’t put you at risk when you eat the food you have raised.  I live in the earth and have seen first hand the damage that poisons are doing to our food, the environment and the planet. But, this is not the place to pull out a soapbox and wax environmental. I just want to give you some tips on organic pest control methods that work and will give you a more wholesome and abundant food supply from your own backyard. Remember that it is better to share a little of your produce, than to poison the whole lot so that the bugs can’t have any. If you are losing too much, then take only enough action to preserve your harvest. In war, it is called a measured response.
